UAB “Kauno autobusai” goals for 2011 are the following:

• search for opportunities for the purchase of new busses,
• selection of optimum communications in Kaunas city and its neighbouring suburbs,
• expeditious provision of accurate information about bus routes,
• maintenance of good exploitation of the public transport,
• provision of safe transportation of the passengers,
• expeditious publishing of targeted information on the website, in public press and promotional publication(leaflets, pamphlets, etc.),
• efforts in order to develop citizens’ sense of responsibility in respect of public transport,
• search for qualified bus drivers, maintenance of such drivers and solution of training-in-service problems.
  
  
  UAB “Kauno autobusai” long-term objectives are the following:
  
• striving for optimum implementation of public transport,
• provision of information to the public about company’s activities,
• construction of a compressed natural gas-station,
• striving for least possible pollution of Kaunas city,
• modernization of the bus fleet with new buses. Alignment to the age of buses, exploited in the biggest cities of the EU member states (7.6 years),
• modernization of the repairs workshop as well as renovation of all other workshops,
• integration of modern information systems in all the busses,
• installation of air-conditioning, ventilation and heating systems in Kaunas busses.
